Guru Nanak- The holy creator of Kirtan

Guru Nanak- The holy creator of Kirtan

The lips that sing His praise
The lips that chat His name
Those lips forever may live
Blessed is heaven by earth's grace.

How infinite is
What I wish to reveal
In the finite writings of mine
The objective that I share again

To make known the man
Who resembled divine
Yes, I introduce Guru Nanak
To the delicacy of thought and mind.

I know not how many ages
Attempts and pages
It will take me to reveal
To the world the words

And the precious works
Which Guru Nanak entertained
The light of his travel
To enlighten one and all

That same light
I aim to spread
Wider and more fame loving
As any precious thing should have.

I know there are many still
In this finite earth
Who acknowledge his done work
His steps are still loved.

But many I know still need
Some real air to breathe
To reveal to their body the presence
Of supreme soul  that feathers

With the aim to realize divine
By stepping inside the gurudwara
By reciting what through holy steps
Was defined and designed.

That holy man I know
Of whom I speak each hour
How often was he faced
With problems by carnal world.

He never stopped his insight
Never suppressed his attempts
His steps to make truth known
Did meet with many thefts.

He challenged the world as whole
What a bravery was in his fold
He was supreme warrior of truth
He fought an unseen battle.

As a child he was brave
To question the rotten ways
He never yielded to unfair
No matter then it was where.

He said he would not wear
The thread that sticks to body alone
And serves no holy cause
Of realization of pure virtue.

He said he would not practice any
Chant for men with finite body
They who feel His presence
In finite hold no good lesson.

There is need to realize he said
God beyond the dressed.
Need to know the truth
That ekonkar be understood.

I too believe in him as whole
The creator of religious role
That best define the truth
And way to achieve the good.

God is one
God dwells in many
God's praise be sung
As was sung by Guru Nanak.

Long live the kirtan presence
May no adverse wind touch it
Real is the realization
That it serves as its benefit.

Caring for the holy one
May we always dwell with peace
And may the world realize today
The bliss of Guru Nanak's work and play.
